My eldest daughter is pissed.

Last night my eldest daughter called me. She is doing it every day to tell me how they are all doing with the covid. She was very angry with Negar because she had refused to take the pills that the doctor who came to visit them at their home every day had prescribed. She apparently does not have "faith" in those pills. But as I see it, if you are living in someone else´s house who is taking care of you, cooking for you and using cold to lower your fever, you have to do as they do. In every place in my country, hotels have been turned into residences for people with covid who are not so ill as to go to a hospital. I guess that if this young woman does not want to be treated according to what the doctors tell in Tania´s house, she should go elsewhere. The main problem about covid is that it is very contagious. You can die by not taking care of younself, but you cannot bring the virus to others. Some time ago, I told my daughter that I would not receive my eldest grandson until he had the shot. He finally did and now I can have him. I listened to her as she needed to tell someone. I think that it is difficult to be with other people when you have your house rules.

I am glad that I have to host no one. In our home we decide the rules and I would throw this young woman out. She is selfish, stubborn and she does not respect your daughter and her home.

I think that in this case, both parties are guilty. The girl belongs to another culture and Tania has not been able to tell her what she is expected to do at her house. In my country there are residences for covid people who have nowhere to go. And just as I said that my eldest grandson would not be welcomed her until he had the vaccine, Tania should have told this girl that whiñe in her house she must do what doctors say.

@marguicha - You are right, also here in Switzerland they are placing Covid patients who do not have a house in some hotels and other public buildings. Tania had to be clear, if he did not want to follow the doctor's advice, she had to go to one of those houses.

I believe her anger mostly also comes with the frustration of having COVid and worrying about how everyone one is doing from day to day, Of course, if you have it, it is very important to take the medication the doctor prescribes

I agree with you. And if you are in a country you don´t know, and living in the house of someone you just met, you have to act as they ask you to. Specially as the covid is nothing to laugh about.

Some people don't have a lot of respect for others. I believe Negar is in the wrong to behave this way.

@marguicha I would be expecting that in this case. When we open our borders, we are wondering if we will be asking people if they are vaccinated before we let them visit or vice versa.

When a medication is prescribed to me for a specific illness, I take it. So should Negar.

We don´t know what her customs are (she is an Iranian). But in this case, she should do as told or go to a residence for people with covid.

Negar is Felipe´s GF. Felipe is my grandson and Negar is Iranian. I don´t know what pills the doctor prescirbed, but in my country, we are being guided by a whole healthcare system.
