That was some wind

Ripping out connections and such.

Although most of the infrastructure is underground, where it is above ground to provide service to a house or community it can be damaged.

Electricity only flickered a little bit, I really missed my internet service, though. Luckily we have gas heat and cooking.

I did not hear about that, but I am not a bit surprised. An above ground pool decided to pull up anchors and go on a walk about here. The junction that carries electricity into the bus barn is up on a pole, except it crashed down into a windshield of a vehicle overnight. Actually that was the lucky part. If it had gone clear to the ground it would have broken electric connections and they would not have been able to open the doors to get the buses out for their routes.

We had another outage for a few hours today.

Even winds at night can cause damage. Glad you did not have any.

That was Thursday. This is Saturday and we lost it again for a while.

Our electric stayed on, it was the actual internet connection that was the problem.

It was bad enough that they held some bus routes at the school while the storm blew through.

I know, I am hearing from lots of my friends even in Canada that they are experiencing this.

Yes, just mostly disturbed by all the blowing and noise.

I actually made it home before the full fury of the storm hit.

Well, the electric only flickered. This was problems with the DSL
