Day 193
Psalm 84
Psalm 84:8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. (KJV)
You want people to hear you when you talk, make a request, complain, or spend time in meaningful conversation. You don’t want to go unheard.
The psalmist, Korah, praised God for the beauty of God’s creation, for going into His tabernacles, for strength, for His presence in every situation. He wanted God to hear his prayers and turn His face to him.
As Christians, when you recognize and praise God for the beauty of His holiness, for the privilege to meet with other believers in worship, God will hear you when you pray. He won’t turn a deaf ear to your requests. God will shield you from every attack Satan brings against you.
What situation faces you? Give God praise and watch Him take care of you. He will. It’s His promise.
Let’s pray: Father, let me praise You when life bears down on me. Help me let go of my problems as I turn them over to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
