Cloudy Monday Morning

Cloudy again today. Rain is coming soon. Then the temperatures will start dropping again I hope. 60s and 70s the last few days. Brendel finally came out of the closet last night. She ate her baby food and drank water. Was in my lap a few hours. Then slept with me all night. Seemed ok. But this morning she tried going back in the closet again. I closed the door. She got her morning meds. And now sleeping beside me. She hisses at the Dude if he comes around. Each time, the hissing makes her cough. So I try to keep him occupied during the times when she doesn't want him around. A full time job for sure. He is only trying to help in his own way. I don't fuss at him. Brendel is not 100%. And cats know when something is off. I keep taking a day at a time. And am so thankful she ate and drank last night. Photo is mine.

I pray that was a good sign. Hopefully she'll feel good enough to let Dude comfort her, poor guy just wants to help.

I do as well, a day to day thing with her. He gets attention, I make sure of that.

I'm thinking of you and the cats and only hoping for peace for Brendel. Poor Dude, he knows that she is terribly ill and struggling.

@CarolDM You are right cats know when something is off. When my cat was very sick and would not eat or drink much I told you something that would cheer her up but do not want to discuss it here. She perked up and started to eat. You are right taking care of our furry ones is a full-time job. That is good that Brendel is sleeping close to you.

Thanks it has been mentally draining as I never know from day to day how she will be. The steroids help the symptoms which is what I hoped for of course. But the disease will always be there. Trying to enjoy each day.

I'm glad to read that Brendel came out, ate, drank, and spent some time cuddling up with you. I pray she pulls through more and will soon allow the Dude to come closer and provide her the care he wishes to give as well.

We're getting a wintry mix today and it's a very gray day outside. Poor little Brendel just wants to rest meanwhile Dude probably doesn't understand she doesn't feel well. At least she ate and drank a little.
