Day 200 Psalm 101:1 (A Psalm of David.) I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A crooked heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off: him who hath a high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. 6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me. 7 He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he who tells lies shall not tarry in my sight. 8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD. Have you made resolutions about what you will do in a given situation? Have you kept your resolution or did it fall by the wayside, forgotten with all the other resolutions you made? David declared what he would do in God’s name. He made a vow to God to walk before Him in righteousness and not behave perversely or have those who acted deceitfully in his presence. As Christians, you make vows and make declarations about what you want to do in God’s name. Your prayers are sincere when you pray. You fully intend to carry out your plans to walk closer to God, read His Word, and do to others as you would have them do to you. Yet, how often do you fail in your resolution for a closer walk with God? We are coming to the end of another year. It is a time when people make resolutions about what they want to accomplish in the year ahead. What resolutions will you make in your walk with God? What are your intentions for the next year? What will you do to hold yourself accountable to yourself and God? Let’s pray: Father, You know my fickle heart. You know my intentions. Help me resolve to remain faithful to You, not only in the year ahead, but always. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 29 December 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.

God knows the deepest desires of our hearts. I desire to walk in righteousness every single day. Know Him and deeply fall in love with Him. To meditate His word night and day.
