So my year has ended with finally getting a writing contract through Upwork from a client to whom I submitted a proposal, So finally I have achieved that and now my new year will begin with writing assignments to keep me busy, I am really happy about this and love that it happened right on the last day of the old year to make my new year shine brighter,

I have never tried that site. Not sure I would know how to submit a proposal or what to include.

@GardenGerty if you get on the site it is not difficult, There is always a list of jobs and you choose the writing assignment you would know how to do depending on the topic and what they want and then bit for the job and include a cover letter and some examples of your work,

This is beautiful news, congratulations! I tried to get involved with Upwork, but I didn't have a portfolio.

@kobesbuddy thank you, I did not have a portfolio I wrote up a profile on their site and then when I got my first job through them the experience was added and eventually, it turned into some kind of portfolio,

@RasmaSandra I have been writing for two years on Textbroker. None of my writings can be used as a portfolio, they no longer belong to me after they're sold at a low price.

@kobesbuddy I think you mean Textbroker, not MyLot. I am in that same boat.
