Dreaming of pineapple

Literally all night I was dreaming of recipes that use pineapple.
Canned pineapple, dried pineapple, but not fresh pineapple.
I want to make some tropical muffins with pineapple, bananas and coconut.
Then there was a cookie recipe my first husband's grandmother made with pineapple and almonds.
Perhaps I will make a cream cheese spread with pineapple in it as well.
In my dreams I was doing all of this. I even got up at 3:30 a.m. to use the restroom, and went right back to my pineapple dreams.
Seriously, I do want to make a variety of muffins to have for "grab and go" breakfasts in the next few weeks Or I can have them in my lunches.
Baking today will help warm up the house. When I woke up it was 1 degree Fahrenheit and two silly cats have gone out. zI will wish you sweet dreams of pineapple or other tasty things, I am staying home again today.

@mom210 Our local plant seller (not really a greenhouse or nursery) did actually have one make a fruit after three years. It was small but tasty.

@GardenGerty i love the plant you can make from them. Here it will never actully make a pineapple but does make a nice plant (the top)

I love pineapple. Pineapple upside-down cake. Yum! I love to mix pineapple juice and grapefruit juice. So good. Have to add a little more pineapple to it or it is rather bitter.

I have never heard of a pineapple sandwich. Please tell me more. I am going to go eat a tropical muffin and drink hot coffee. I have been out in the cold.

@GardenGerty It’s very simple. Two slices of bread, two slices pineapple, one tsp mayonnaise and put them together and there’s your sandwich.

I make fruit chat with pineapple but rarely use pineapple these days as I find it difficult to cut the fruit.
I make Maxican chicken with pineapple sauce.
I too stay at home because of the chill and pandemic.

@GardenGerty Fruit chat is made from fruits that are garnished with yogurt mixed with powdered sugar and cream. The fruits are cut into small pieces, dipped in this yogurt. A little bit of roasted cumin powder and pepper is sprinkled on top.

Oh, that would be wonderful. Do pineapple grow in your country? There are places in the US where they grow, but not where I live.

@GardenGerty Yes, they do grow here though not in all states. Goa grows it in plenty. We are close to that state and we get enough supply throughout the year.. It's easily available in all other states too.

@GardenGerty Sometimes I remember them, sometimes not. Last night I had a dream and all I can remember of it was that there were two puppets that had the voices of the Hairy Bikers! The rest is a blur!

The best thing about being stationed in Hawaii to me was the drive down Ala Moana Boulevard with that incredible smell from the Dole Pineapple plant in the air.
