Snow Prediction in Nashville

For Middle Tennessee, showers will begin in the early afternoon, and by mid-afternoon, we’ll begin to see the switch to wintry precipitation (snow showers). The farther east you live, the longer it will take to see that switch to wintry precipitation. In the Plateau, where temperatures will fall very quickly, there is the greatest chance of accumulation. That part of the state always gets colder. Most areas west of I-65 will see showers turn to flurries, and at most, a dusting on grassy surfaces. East of I-65 is looking at up to 1/2? accumulation, while the Plateau could see up to an inch, or even more locally. I enjoy the snow if I can be inside looking out. I think it is really nice to watch. We probably will not get much but it will be fun to see. Dustin always loved the snow. I think of him when I see it fall. Even a dusting will make the yard look nice.

I look forward to any pictures you take of that snow but I'm really glad we won't be seeing any, well, not yet anyway and hopefully none for the rest of the year.

@rebelann If it happens. And it is forecasted after dark, so we will have to see. She is sleeping as usual. Right beside me. Seems ok. Thanks for asking.

I imagine you do think of him. That's why my son sent me the photo of snow where he is. We used to enjoy making snow angels together and snow men.

We always seem to get the weather in the UK after the USA has had it. I really hope you don't send the snow over to us!

Someone local here said on FB the prediction is 3-5. I hope it happens, but I will be happier if the bulk of it falls after my store visit.

I think that a dusting during the winter months makes everything so pretty. We had a few inches fall last night, some of it has already begun to melt. We do not have the cold temperatures to sustain snow for very long, its too bad, because without the freezing temperatures and snow, everything is just muddy and dirty here.

I agree with you. The muddy wet snow can be a mess for sure.

@CarolDM Does it stay frozen in your area typically? I know that you have posted that it has been what I would consider to be very mild as of late.

@Juliaacv Not usually. We may get an inch or two. If we have no rain it stays but it all depends on the temps too. Lately we have had lots of rain. I think that will change soon.
