Dinner in an Igloo

Tonight’s the night! We are going out to dinner with my husband, son, and his girlfriend. It’s her Christmas gift to my husband, because he’s too difficult to shop for. I’m sure he will pick up the check. They all have eaten inside restaurants. Hubs has coffee every week with a friend indoors in a cute little cafe. I have not set foot inside a restaurant since February 2020. Knowing how nuts I am about avoiding getting covid, Aniella found an igloo restaurant on a marina about 45 minutes away. It’s heated and the waiters are vaccinated and wear masks. I’m truly looking forward to dressing up and getting the heck out of the house. On the other hand, I have no qualms about getting into a jet next Monday. Go figure.

Sounds different. I haven't been out to a restaurant since I found DoorDash. Glad there is a place you feel comfortable going in and enjoying the food. Getting out is nice.

I must admit it was wonderful. I truly felt safe and protected. Great idea, but it cost $100 extra. Didn’t know about that

My friend wanted to eat outside a restaurant in 19 degree weather today, but I canceled. I just can't sit in that cold weather with a wind so chilly. I'm comfortable eating in restaurants, but I understand she's not.

I totally understand. I don’t mind eating outdoors when the weather is nice, but no way in 19 degree weather. It was a mild evening, but we were in a heated igloo for an extra $100! Shocked at that, but it was a pleasure and protective.

@LadyDuck We ate in outdoor and rooftop restaurants all summer and fall, but it’s too cold to do that now. It will be great eating outdoors again in Florida.
