You Know How I Love My Snow….

SOMEWHERE ELSE! 
The interesting weather (to say the least) over the New Year’s Day weekend pretty much skipped Louisville. I’m thankful for that: I don’t like storms hitting us, I don’t like tornadoes hitting us, and I don’t like snow hitting us.
Yes, snow is beautiful. The problem is, when you get snow south of the Ohio River you get problems. This is “the south,” so we don’t know how to handle it. That’s one reason I don’t like it.
Undeniably gorgeous to look at, though.
So, in the “best of both worlds,” I pull up some of those live web cams I highlighted in a recent countdown and look at the snow.
The snow in the Mid-Atlantic and northeast is brutal, according to the predictions. And this is just the first snowstorm of the season!!
So for all of you who are in the way of snow in the future, stock up on chili and hot chocolate….and stay safe and warm!!!!

That’s why I have a mummy sleeping bag rated at 0 degrees in my car all winter long. It takes up a lot of space, but I won’t be cold.

@DianneN — a good one isn’t cheap, but it’s the best peace of mind you’ll buy. There are a lot of things I own that I never want to use. That is one of them.

It is beautiful when it is somewhere else. I know how to drive in it as I grew up with it. But would love the chance to forget

It isn’t that it never snows here. It’s just the mentality of “it’s not supposed to snow here” that gets people in the wrong mindset. Given that 16-inch snowfall we’re coming up on the anniversary of, I don’t know how people think that.

Could not agree more on snow. 
We just got 4 inches in my area of NJ. Not really bad but annoying enough to have to clear it off the driveway before the winter chill freezes it.
BTW: Chili is an excellent choice!
