Day 205
Psalm 107:17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Their soul abhors all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saves them out of their distresses.
20 He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
What does it take for you to admit you’re foolish? What extremes will you go to, to prove you can overcome failure?
The psalmist said fools become afflicted because of transgressions and sins. They deny everything from food to advice to the point of death when they finally admit defeat and pray to God to help them out of their trouble. Only then will God answer them, heal them, and deliver them from their destructions. He said men should praise the LORD for His goodness and sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare God’s wondrous works with rejoicing.
As Christians, you sometimes act like fools when you think you can go ahead of God in doing His work. “I got this” is your catch-phrase. It is only when you don’t have this, you throw your hands up in defeat and pray, asking God for His help. God wants to help you with His work. You only need to listen to Him and allow Him to work through you instead of you wanting to work through God.
When you turn over the details to God and allow Him to take the lead, He will bring His work to fruition in your life. When He does, praise Him and bless His name. He will heal and deliver you from all your follies.
Let’s pray: Father, I know I don’t have all the answers to the problems in my life. Help me lean on You for the work You would have me do and not try to handle it without You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

The single word 'Amen' is not an acceptable response to a discussion

Amen I know the Lord is there beside me, I have a book of sermons in Latvian written my Latvian pastors and for each day of the year there is a sermon, I have gone through them almost every year but skipped last year so I am reading a sermon a day again, It is comforting and they have Bible verses too,
