Some more obscure interesting facts you probably never knew. I'm also sure you never gave any of these trivial facts any thought either. But like a good quote here are a couple of facts I found which you can spring on someone to impress them with your amazing knowledge of useless information. It's unusual to me how animals are nick-named when found in a group. When you see one by itself, like a goose for example, nothing in that name stands out in its description. But when found in a group, their identity gets "enhanced" and they become "A Gaggle of Geese!" Here are a couple more interesting animal nicknames. Do you know their group descriptions? THERE IS A SPECIAL NAME FOR A GROUP OF HIPPOPOTAMUSES And It's not Hippi or Hippies either. Yes, it is referred to by its shortened name Hippo, but what about in a bunch? The word rhymes with "moat," give up? And A GROUP OF BATS ALSO HAVE A SPECIAL NAME And it's not "Bats in the Belfry" the popular description of a person who's a bit unhinged or eccentric. So, any idea what you call a multiple group of bats? There called a "Colony." Now it's your turn! Can you think of a term for a group of animals? Go ahead Google it and play along, Source Info- & Best Life

Good ones! Thanks for playing along. Army also works for ants too, lol. Another one which describes 2 groups of animals is "herd" of Antelope or Buffalo

@dgobucks226 "Herd" is also for sheep. Herd is very common generally applied to mammals, and most particularly to the grazing mammals. Now famous word because of "herd immunity"... that will never happen.

@LadyDuck Interesting... And yes, herd immunity is not possible. The virus mutates, viruses are not curable, and even if your vaccinated you can catch the virus. Our focus should be on treatment and making sure therapeutics are readily available through distribution centers and other means.

No, a group of goats is a flock, a tribe or a troop. Funny how flock can be used for both birds and goats. Anyway, the answer was "Bloat" which rhymes with moat, coat and note, Other popular animal/insect group names are A troop of baboons, A colony of beavers, a horde of gnats and a school of fish.

Groups of bats are called dynamic duos! . Seriously, wonder if Colony Insurance might get a bat like Liberty Mutual’s emu. And a group of hippos is called what they are: FAT! (That was rather bloated of me, wasn’t it!)

Yes, now that would be an interesting mascot. Ozzy would approve! Of course, no jingles or mascots for NJM. Love this commercial. Have you seen this video? Perhaps they would consider a fat, bloated hippo?

What is a group of hippopotamuses? You failed to mention that one. A group of salamanders is a Congress A group of owls is a Parliament

I think a group of crows is a 'murder' and then there is a 'parliament' of owls. I like both these terms.
