Hey, it’s Elvis day! And that means I need to throw in a bonus song to celebrate. Lucky for me, this song didn’t make the top ten list of favorites with “star” in the title (recommended by @RasmaSandra ), but we’re here, so here it is!

Here we are, 87 years since the King of Rock and Roll was born. And we’re still digging his music.
I haven’t seen this movie in a long, long time, but it strikes me still as one of Elvis’s absolute BEST movies. Why? Because he wasn’t playing a singing soldier/drifter/ex-con/lifeguard/whatever. He had a meaty role as a “half-breed” American Indian unsuccessfully trying to make peace.
The theme song is a good one, too. No, people can’t sing this one backwards the way they can with “Viva Las Vegas,” but that doesn’t matter.
So happy Elvis day.

Chuy’s usually has an Elvis birthday bash in most of their restaurants (they have SHRINES in some of them). But Saturday is my day to eat at Tumbleweed. I guess I’ll see the drunk Elvis imitators passed out tomorrow.

@FourWalls My husband (who is 7 years older than I am) was more in the "Elvis-era"; but he doesn't care for him at all. To each his own. :-)
