Debating About Taking Melatonin

I sometimes have trouble falling asleep. Sometimes I lay in bed for one to three hours before I fall asleep. I talked to my doctor and she said I could take Melatonin to help me fall asleep. I bought some Melatonin last night but then heard from three different people I know that when they take it, they are groggy all of the next day. I don't want that at all. I didn't take any Melatonin last night because I had to get up early today and go to a meeting, and then I had errands to run. I didn't want to be groggy during those activities. Do you have trouble sleeping? Have you ever taken Melatonin to help you sleep? If so, did it make you groggy the next day?

I sometimes get insomnia as well as the odd bit of not dropping off. I like to listen to an audio book once I am tucked up. Mostly works!

You can take half of it or take a kid dose one. For myself I take a sleep aid they don’t make me groggy in the morning or next day it just helps fall a sleep and stay a sleep longer.

Melatonin affects everyone differently. I haven't slept without a pill of some sort in many years. I used Flexiril until it quit working. Now I take an OTC med that works most of the time. I hope you find a good med that will help you...I know how miserable it is to not be able to sleep.
