Tea and 'dosa'

Dosa is normally eaten with chutney but I dunked them in tea and quite liked the taste. Dunking was once upon a time considered bad manners at the dining table and I remember reading somewhere when Princess Margaret was punished for doing that. Do you dunk anything in tea or coffee?

No, I don't like the idea of mushy things, but my family do it with biscuits in milk.

Nothing mushy about it unless your family is seen doing it that way

I do dunk biscuits from time to time but not normally when I'm out.

We still feel that it is bad manners to do that and so in open it is never attempted.

@JudyEv I remember at a 5 star hotel we were served tea with a tissue between the cup and the saucer for the same reason.

@allknowing And you should stir your tea without letting the teaspoon touch the inside of the cup and make a noise.
