Being happy is not only pleasant, but also profitable! Scientists from Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) analyzed 30 studies that examined the relationship between happiness and longevity.
"The observed positive effects of happiness on longevity are very significant and amount to 7.5 years and 10 years," the authors of the article published in the Journal of Happiness Studies report.

How does happiness help prolong life?
?
Protects against stress
People who are dissatisfied with life have steadily increased levels of cortisol, a hormone of chronic stress. Under its influence, blood pressure increases, excess weight appears, and immunity is suppressed. And, on the contrary, being in a good mood improves the immune response and helps to recover faster!
Encourages you to take care of your health
Studies show that happy people tend to monitor their weight, exercise, eat right, give up bad habits, show resilience.
