Wow, what a beautiful sky we had to wake up to this morning! Some pretty glorious purple! It's my favorite color.

Happy Friday! My daycare boy is staying home today so I essentially have the day "off" to spend with my son and his dad.

That's an impressive color sky there! It got me to wondering what causes that particular shade to appear. It seems one explanation is it is caused by too much moisture from the rain. The right conditions have to be met for purple, or violet, to be visible. It's all about angles of light from the sun and how the light is scattered in the sky. Pretty cool! Did you have any recent downpours??
