The Mundane

Junk. The blue drum was a catch for rainwater from our shed or garage, and still serves its purpose to this day. That racer bike which, a friend handed it down to me stood leaning on the drum. It has not revived from neglect in the rain, hail storms, and scorch in the sun. My hubby-photographer took a shot at it and captured this abandoned place through his eye for beauty in the mundane things of life. I've learned a lot from this. The small things-- good or bad-- that seem insignificant, and harsh, always turn out to be important parts of the whole piece coming together for a good purpose. May your days be filled with goodness and comfort. *** Photo: "Weeds" Copyright 2013-2022.
