But jeez, what a bunch of rigmarole to get it gone.
I went to the Health Center via bus, as there was a FedEx drop off box out front. Well, there was. It wasn't there anymore when I got there today.
Then I remembered that there used to be a FedEx drop off at Kohl's down the street. I walked there and asked the girl there if they still had it. She asked someone else, and I was told no, but there was one at the McDonald's across the street. Huh?
So I walked another block, and crossed the street to another shopping center where there was a McDonald's. I went around the building, then inside, and didn't see a FedEx drop off anywhere. Finally I asked the lady at the counter, and she said there was a Fed Ex office in some direction (I forget exactly what she said) in the same shopping center.
I left the McDonald's and looked around, and it wasn't a FedEx office, it was a UPS office.
I went in and apologized for asking about the competition, but if the young man there knew where there was a Fed Ex office.
He said, first, that I should slap the person who told me that that was a Fed Ex Office, and then that there was a Fed Ex Office in a little mini-shopping center "by Jack in the box."
So, I went out and waited for the bus again, (so glad I brought a book with me), and went back to the little shopping center, where, after looking around the Fed Ex store a bit, I found a drop-off box.
On a rack in the store I saw a calendar featuring hedgehogs, so I bought it, as my ex-boss who lived around the corner from me in my old neighborhood was nuts about hedgehogs.
Caught the bus again, and went back to the shopping center where I first caught the bus on my "adventure". As it turned out, the marquee on the bus said that (when it left) it was going to be the route I needed to get to the old neighborhood, so I stayed on the bus.
Went back to the old neighborhood and found my brother at the house, so we talked finances a bit, and then I went next door to my old neighbor's house who had a Husky that liked Angel. I chatted with him a bit and petted the Husky to make sure I got his scent on my hands for Angel to smell, then went down the opposite cross street than I'd come up to drop of the calendar.
My boss insisted on paying me for it, so...? I was glad she was pleased with it, though. We talked a bit, then I walked home.
In a bit I'll ask Angel if she'd like to go for a walk.
Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land !

Ugh--it was, to a point: I wanted to get that darn test sent back! But, I'm glad that I got the exercise.
