This Past Week and Coming Week

I didn't schedule a day to work at the boutique this week so spent my time working in the yard. I must of overdone it because on Wednesday I threw my back out. So I have been dealing with that. It was much better on Friday but my sciatic nerve started acting up. I'm hoping it will be better by the time Wednesday rolls around because I have to go work at the boutique. If not, I'll be hobbling and/or limping. At least we have a warm up on the way and will be in the 50's Monday, 60's Tuesday and 71 on Wednesday with a day of thunderstorms promised. Then we move to Thurs, Fri, and Sat with highs in the 40's and lows back in the 20's. I am betting that may happen on Sunday night as well since the low is projected to be 31. It's not looking good here. I sure wish we could fire Old Man Winter; he's being really harsh this year. Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain, yellow mums

@Deepizzaguy Yes! Well we have more on the way at the end of this week. After the storm on Thursday, we will see 3-4 nights in a row in the 20's. Then 2 nights in 30's and back to 20's. I'm ready to run away!

@kareng I hope so as well since last February was bad when a winter storm harmed the water supply for nearly a week.

You can have it! I do think the hubby is going to be putting in a winter cabin here whenever he can and gets the other house sold. That will be nice but it will also be a little weird too.

@wolfgirl569 I'll send my hubby to visit yours and they can hunt while we goof off. I was thinking the other day how good a venison roast would be. Haven't had one in a couple of years.

@kareng Even your cold days are warm for here. Hubby wants to put a little cabin at the back of the property. But he wants his for hunting.

@moffittjc It has been brutal here. When this front came through we had 18 mph winds. We have a break Mon and Tues night with a low of 30 and 44 and then back into the 20's for several more nights. This front brough 4 nights in 20's and we had several nights last week. It's time for SUMMER!! I hope you guys stay warm on your camping trip!

@kareng We got a touch of that frigid weather this past week, and it looks like we're in for more next week. Of course, our 4 coldest nights next week will coincidentally be four of the same nights that I'm on a camping trip with my son.

Your temps don't seem harsh to me. Then again, I don't live in Louisiana, but Wisconsin where the temps are a lot lower this time of year. I'm not ready to fire him even if we are getting an Arctic blast this week.

The way our humidity runs, it makes it feel a lot colder than what it really is. My uncle who was in the service and traveled all over the US, including Alaska, said we had the coldest cold in Louisiana. I'm only 30 min from the state line. I know when we went to TN and got caught in the snow there it didn't feel cold at all.

@arunima25 I get it every so often and same with the back issues. I think the back issue leads to the sciatica because it has followed the back problems before.

Pretty days I head outside. I've been cleaning up the yard and making the man get the chainsaw out to cut up some of these big tree limbs that came down in the hurricane. Then I to keep up with stock at the boutique and reorder. I think I am going to get me a label printer here for my price tags. I can log into the program so just need the printer to print them out. That would save me from having to go to the shop early just to tag merchandise. I had my best day of sales this past Saturday!! I sold around 10 items!

Thank you. The back is better now. I ended up having siatica after the back pain. It's a uaual pattern for me when this happens. I have my cosmetics in a boutique that caters to teens, and women. We have clothing, shoes, and children's clothing plus home decor and gifts. There are about 29 women there with small businesses and/or direct sales. We have to put in one day or 8 hours each month. Optional two days which comes with the benefit of the house not getting any of your commission. I have enjoyed it and finally getting into the routine.
