My littlest has always had eczema since he was born. Like a lot of people that has it he is typically triggered by his allergies. Some times the weather change at the start will trigger a dry spell. But man I don’t what it is this time around. It hasn’t been this bad since he 1-2 years old. So his last two baths that we have given him gas been oat baths to help relieve some of the itching he has had. It’s seems to have helped. We had to check if this was okay because it’s been so long and he is allergic to wheat so we made sure there was mo wheat base products in it.

Poor boy, I really do feel for him We found this one a good one Have you heard of a cream called Dermacool before? My pal had really bad eczema and he was close to tears quite often with the itch and couldn't stop scratching Then his doctor prescribed Dermacool, My pal said that from the minute he felt it cooling on his skin the itch stopped And now his eczema hasn't been an issue for over a year.

I can’t just give him anything because of his allergies he had been give something when he was younger but it made him very sleepy. So if this doesn’t help with someone of the itching then at his yearly check up which should be soon with his birthday in 4 days. Like I said it hasn’t been this bad since thing. Which means it could be he has a new allergy that we need to look into or it’s just the weather change.

@NatsuYeung who’s to say he wouldn’t be alright by his next yearly exam. His dad is a nurse so he can determine if we need something stronger they then he will talk to our son’s doctor and together she can determine if he needs meds. He has a lot of allergies and I don’t know what is in that.

It seems to have helped. I haven’t seen new scratch mark. His dad was very surprised when that he got to the point of actually make himself bleed.

He has one a few days ago and he just had his second one so I think it’s been helping. He has a couple of more bags

My daughter has eczema. I might recommend the oat bath treatment to her and see if it helps. I know she has an appointment with a dermatologist this week to look at her skin. Thankfully, she only has it in a couple of spots.

Usually he is just a little scaling and lotion fixes but darn the boy in the last couple weeks has scratched himself to the point he broke his skin and caused bleeding. After one bath that he soaked for a good 15-20 minutes he seemed to be okay. He said today he felt a bit itchy be had been playing outside in the snow and stuff so we gave him another soak tonight. I haven’t seen any new marks of scratching.

Eczema is a condition that has not 100% solution everyone is different and his use linked to his allergies which probably will never go away seeing as he is now going to be 7.

@aureliah the solution is him not having allergies but that isn’t going to happen.

@ShyBear88 I understand. The secret is finding a solution to manage it. I know it can get quite extreme at times

Too bad the youngest suffered from eczema from childhood. I can feel the pain of the youngest when he feels itchy or in pain from his eczema. Actually, if the youngest sibungsu is strong, you can try smearing the eczema with lime or lemon juice. It really feels awful. But usually the vitamin C contained in lemons or limes can kill the bacteria or fungi in the eczema.

I was t looking for suggested one what to do. The baths have been helpful he hardly ever is itchy he has never had pain other then when he eats foods he is allergic to which is why his eczema has been in control for years.

@ShyBear88 Yes, I suggest that way, so that your child's exim marks can also fade or disappear. Because lemon or acid can also disguise or remove scars due to eczema. I hope your child's exim is completely healed and doesn't come back again.
