Crazy Weather

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's cold and snowing at this moment. I'm enjoying my coffee while watching the snow come down fast and furious. I'm sure it's just a squall and won't amount to much and we certainly don't need it after all the mess Mother Nature made yesterday.
Our storm brought snow which turned to rain/sleet and caused a big mess and treacherous conditions. It actually knocked out my cable so that meant I had no internet (which is why I wasn't here), tv or phone.
You don't realize how much you depend on the cable/internet. Aside from the usual tv shows, etc I listen to music on my Alexa. With the internet out Alexa doesn't work. So I had to find an old radio in the garage which I was doing to donate. Guess I'm going to second think that decision and keep it.
It's cold, gray and not a pleasant day outside today.
At least I'm grateful that I have heat, lights and my cable is back.
The older I get the more I hate winter.

You are copying my sentences here! I hate winter too. I usually feel weak in winter. We don't get storm/ snow in my place But temperature usually drop below 15 C 
I really feel for you all who live in such places where temperature drops below 10 C and wonder how I would have managed it.

It can definitely be brutal at times and I wonder myself why I haven't retired somewhere warmer.

oh, don't I know. A lot of times thunder and hard rain knocks out our internet. Worst is when it also knocks out our power. 
nothing to do but be happy if my old phone is still charged, I can play my games thats downloaded on it while I wait in the flashlight light and cold if it's night.

@Marilynda1225 I know. Me too. That's why I'm so afraid of hurricanes. I have to hook up my portable oxygen tank and hope it lasts.

I can deal without the internet and the TV but it would have been sooo much worse if we didn't have heat or electricity

We are not having much moisture this winter. It is cold here, but dry. You may actually want to look into a battery powered radio, just in case your electric goes out.

I am sorry about the weather you are having. I bet you look forward to nice weather again. Good thing with the internet off that you found the radio and now I bet you willl not donate it so you will have it when you need it again. I never liked winter and am happy when it goes away and nice weather comes.

I love winter but that kind of snow can be really a pain. Glad that you had the old radio. We never realise that we might need to go back to our old ways from time to time. Life without Internet seems unimaginable these days

With this snow storm we had on Sunday, our power went out for 5 hours. We don't have a generator. Even though we don't have that much snow, I am thinking we really should buy a generator just in case.
