I had to go to the vet today to pick up medicine for my dog Annabelle. While waiting, a couple came in, the man holding a French bulldog. I smiled, as I do pretty much anytime I see a dog. It wasn't until they spoke to the receptionist that I realized they were there to have their dog put to sleep. I started crying, and felt like a nincompoop!
For those who prayed for Annabelle the other night I appreciate it. We're not sure what's wrong so we're trying different medications. Please keep praying for her if you would.

I understand how that might have felt, but I am sure those smiles, made what they were planing to do just that bit easier. Putting an animal down is never an easy decision. And, your smile, might have made it all worth it.
I wish anabelle the best, and for that family bringing their beloved pet in, I pray they do well in the days that follow.

I hope Annabelle is getting better...
I love the word nincompoop ....it's a word my family use but I don't hear it used by others very often.

I hadn't seen anything about Annabelle, not been here much
But sorry to hear she isn't well and of course I really hope she gets well soon.

Don't feel that way Amber, you and your warm smile were right where they needed to be at that moment.
Walking into the vet with your beloved dog for the final time is gut-wrenchingly difficult, there really are no words for it.
I hope that the medications help Annabelle.
