Well, Tom Baker anyway. Today Tom Baker turns 88. It has been 41 years since he was the Doctor, which he did brilliantly in my never to be humble opinion, and while he had nothing to do with the show for a long while, he did return. So, who is your favorite Doctor? Have you seen Tom Baker? Have you seen any of the Classic Doctors?

Doctor Who is a television program created by the BBC. It started in 1963 and ran to 1989. It was restarted in 2005.

@LadyDuck if you don't care for science fiction, you probably won't like it

Well, doesn't sound like a show you would like, it is science fiction.

Yeah, happy birthday Tom, have some cake. It's a toss-up which Doctor I like best: Tom Baker or David Tennant.

I liked Tennant pretty well, I might put Capaldi ahead of him... could just be the age...

The young guy, Matt Smith? I liked him too. He really managed to give that "old" in his young body. I love multiple Doctors stories, so of course I loved the 50th year episode. (It probably didn't hurt that it was also my 60th birthday.)

@jstory07 I watched the first season, but I'm just tired of them bringing back The Master. I kind of threw my hands up and really I liked the two guys better than that gal... Then my wife started getting sick... and... well... I don't know, we talk about watching the second season, but just couldn't seem to find the time.

I have absolutely no idea what kind of shows you have on tv in India. I know about Bollywood, well, I know it exists and have seen some stuff about them - they look like fun. Doctor Who is a science fiction program out of Great Britain, actually filming in Cardiff in Wales.

That's too bad. The, so called, special effects were terrible, don't judge his time by bad effects. Some of the stories weren't too bad.

Tom Baker is the only one I really know, he was the Doctor when I was a child. After that I never watched it.
