Dixie took a selfie of herself.

Just now, Dixie sent me a selfie she had taken with her smartphone. Humberto did not want to give her a mirror, but people want to NOW!!! And she sent the selfie to me because she knew that I would understand her need to know. My poor dearest friend! Not even the people who like boxing can have such a face because they learn how to escape from blows. But what worries me most is that she is still very dizzy. I just wrote to her that a long time ago, when a person had a concussion, even pillows weren´t allowed, let alone sitting on a couch. It will take a long time for her face to return to normal. Meanwhile, Humberto is very angry at how the extra nurses work. He is thinking about leaving that hospital and I think it might be better. He is over 70 and has a good private practice if he wants to work. I hope the dizziness goes away soon. I worry much more about that

With a head injury, it might take weeks or months for that to heal. At least Dixie didn't have brain damage, this would affect the rest of her life. She's in the healing process, that's the best part. Eventually, her face will be beautiful, as before:)

I am afraid of that. She also broke several bones of her face.

@marguicha The good part about all this, those bones will all heal up. And thank God himself, Dixie wasn't killed or even lost one of her limbs!

I am so sorry for your friend and I understand that she wanted a mirror, I would want also to see my face. Humberto should be better out of the hospital.

Dixie just called me and told me that Humberto had treated her like a princess but had had words with some of the people of the hospital

@marguicha Humberto is an excellent doctor. He will tell them to get busy doing their jobs!

@kobesbuddy I hope he will. For the moment, he took her home.

It's especially difficult right now as the injury is "new" . . . hopefully the dizziness (which I assume they will continue to monitor) and all will go away in time as she heals.

I hope so. And I hope that Humberto will also be checking it all as he is a doctor.

That will depend on her and how bad it was. I'm sure she'll be fine. Based on what you said, she's very luck for what happened to her.

She got knocked around so some dizziness may be normal. Hopefully it goes away soon.

The dizziness is a concern. What do the doctors say?

I think that I´m more concerned than the doctors They have made all of those new tests but when they did not exist, doctors said that a person with a concussion SHOULD be in bed with no pillow for some time.
