Extra Large Coffee Needed Today

Just got home from helping my friend. She had surgery today. Have been up since 3:am. Surgery went great. But she had a reaction to the anesthesia in the recovery room. She could not wake up. Code Blue and went to ICU for three hours. What a scare. They allowed me to go back with her, masked up of course the entire time. I called her husband at work. He rushed over to be with her. I stayed to make sure she was ok. They will keep her overnight to observe her to be sure she is fine. Photo is mine. A second coffee was needed today.

What a fright, its a good thing that you were there to call her hubby and be with her when they allowed it. The same thing happened to my sister-in-law last summer after a little operation, and they had to intubate her and give her a tracheostomy which a few months later she had to have removed.

Yes it was scary and so unexpected. You just never know when you go in for surgery. Glad your sister-in-law is ok as well. My friend should go home today.
