On saturday, George and I recieved our new couch. So, we had to put our old couch out on the curb to be picked up. We weren't sure how long it'd be there, (trash pick up is tuesday and Friday), so we tried to get rid of it. The first person we called, didn't reply, so now, we had to wait. Sure enough, the trash guys picked it up. Looking out while I was glad it was picked up, I was kind of sad, too. Letting it go wasn't easy, and it will be missed. But, I love the new couch, too. So, I'm thankful for that. While it's on the cool side, it's also kind of warm. I haven't gone out yet, because I don't know what George has in mind. Part of him wants to stay home, and another wants to go out. With Winter starting to have more back-to-back cold fronts, It's not going to get better anytime soon.

Did you find any lost items in the old couch? I finally bought a new leather couch a few years back and I'm not really happy with it. I didn't really use it that much before Covid but since then, I've found that it isn't as comfortable as the old one and I regret spending the money on a couch that I don't really like. It looks better than it feels. I'm stuck with it now. No one would pay me as much as I invested in it. I hope you have better luck with your new one.

We needed to get a new couch, the one had a broken, exposed spring. No. We didn't find any lost treasure inside it, and thankfully, my husband didn't stick his arm in the hole to search for the remote.

@kaylachan That old couch here spanned the childhood of my two kids. I found a few dollars in change, Lego pieces, vitamins that were supposed to have been taken, dog chewies and some other things. It had a rip under the cushions and apparently things fell through. When I got rid of it, I tore it apart so that I could bag up the pieces that I couldn't burn.

@Vikingswest1 Ah. Well, sometimes you find stuff, sometimes you don't. I'm glad we didn't lose anything down that hole. Okay, so my phone fell down it once, but I got it out .

Thanks. Me, too. Other neighbors have piled tons of junk on their lawns that needed picked up, and it would sit for weeks. Thankfully, ours only sat for three days.

We threw out an old couch in Latvia but since we had a garden we put it out there because it did not matter if it got rained on and when it was dry we could sit on it and soon it started sprouting mushrooms I kid you not of course not edible ones but it was so funny,
