West Bengal in India is blessed with fertile agricultural lands. The mustard plantations are scattered in different parts of Birbhum and Bardhaman in West Bengal. They are the sources of mustard oil. Mustard oil is used as cooking medium by the bengalies. Mustard oil is also applied in the body. The raw mustard plant has a spicy sour appeal if taken in the hand.
