Its not unheard of for kitties to have a little heating pad all their own. And Nico isn't spoiled at all, is he? Its hard not to spoil the pets that we love and that bring so much joy into our lives.

There was talk once of fires starting from cats sleeping on electric blankets. They reckoned they stayed in one place too long but I can't see how that could be right. Adults are a lot heavier and stay in one place for hours too.

I share my bed with my cats. Jonesy, my little lady, loves sleeping on the pillow beside my head. Petey, my guard cat, sleeps at my side, although alert for anyone who might harm his Mommy. I'm thinking about an electric blanket (it's nice having a preheated bed to crawl into at night) but I would be covered by cats taking advantage of the warmth. Both cats have their spots that they spend the day snoozing in. They're in my work area for making the teddy bears, but it's also where the sun comes streaming through in the morning through part of the afternoon. They look so sweet sleeping there, I hate to make them move, but one of the spots is my sewing chair where I sit to use the sewing machine. They can't sleep in front of the heater as the heat comes down from the ceiling. It would be interesting to watch if I had anything in front of the heater...they'd have to climb about 12 feet off the floor.

Animals enjoy warmth too.
