I'm Having a Non-Motivation Day

It's one of those days. I'm not depressed or really tired or anything. I just...want to sit here and not do anything.
I mean, I did do some stuff this morning but now my brain is going, "Good job! You did TWO adult things today! That's enough!"
No, brain. It's not enough. I should probably go to the grocery store because I'm out of milk. As someone of 50% pure Finnish heritage, that's like a crime in this house. I need milk. But I don't want to go get it.
I also need to apply for jobs. I've been coasting for a week, I can get by with several more on the money I saved up but I don't want to wait until I'm entirely out of funds before I start looking around. I'm working on the whole freelance writer thing but I'm aware I won't get a following large enough to support me before I burn through my savings. A steady job is required.
I should do some of my felting crafts too. Part of my income is supposed to depend on selling those crafts, but I can't sell them if I don't finish them!
And then there's all the cleaning I still need to do. I have so much junk to go through and toss out or take to charity, and now is the perfect time to do that while I have little else going on.
But I just. Don't. Want. To.
Not today. I want to sit here and read and do a little role play, maybe watch a movie. Why do we have to adult so much? Mooommmmm, come support me!

I know how you feel when I want to work on sharing good news stories even if I am tired. I just take the advice of "Move forward." and "Take breaks when needed before getting back to work."

It worked! I took the break and am back to feeling motivated today. I gotta remember it's okay to have some me days where I'm not doing anything.

Do you usually push through them or just listen to your inner voice and take that day to chill?

It's okay to have a lazy day where you just don't want to do anything. It sucks, but it's part of what it is.

THIS. Omg. I have ADHD, if I have too many projects at once I panic and do nothing, and then panic more because I didn't do anything!
I did go ahead and take the day, though. And yesterday too, I didn't write anything anywhere at all yesterday. Just hit my reset button. Today I dove back in, wrote an article, bagged up a bunch of clothes for Goodwill, and applied for some jobs. We're back on track.
