Snow on the Ground

The weather forecast yesterday was possibly snow last night. I didn’t even think about it this morning. I stepped out on the deck before I went to the gym to see how cold it was. There were blue sky’s not a cloud in the sky. Looking up I saw water was dripping from the roof and couldn’t imagine where it was coming from. I wrapped up well and locked the door behind me and walked down the hall. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The steps were covered with snow and so was the grass and shrubbery at the front of the building. They had salted the steps but I was cautious going up the steps. They were still a little slick. The parking lot was completely clear, no sign of snow or ice. I suppose the sun shining down and the warmth of the pavement kept any snow from laying. Anyway that was our snow. Did you get snow last night? I’m very happy we didn’t have enough to lay. The picture is from last year.

I didn’t see enough snow to make even a snow ball. Maybe if I’d scrapped it off the grass.

Even after the snow melted off everything else here, there was still a good four inches all over our car.

We never get snow here . . . I would be amazed at the sight of it here (though apparently it used to snow decades ago). Glad to hear it wasn't the heavy stuff!

If--and I mean a big IF--it ever snows in Florida, it melts as soon as it hits the ground. It never gets cold enough here for the snow to ever stick and build up on the ground.

Once in awhile we have a good snow, say a foot deep but they are few and far between. I think the last one was six or seven years ago.

We still have about 2 feet of s**w on the ground. It will get warm enough ONE DAY next week to melt some of it. It seems like this year you can't live far enough south to stay out of the white crap! We're supposed to get more tonight.

Two foot of snow sounds terrible to me. We have had a few deep snows but very few. Snow and ice cripple our traffic.

If your stairs are covered with snow, then you have to be careful not to fall when you pass the stairs.

We usually have maybe two snows of about an inch or two deep. Sometimes we have a big snow but not often. This year we. only had a smattering.

@RubyHawk I find it easier in the winter then in the summer. I don't know how you do it with the heat. I have to say that I do not like so much snow, we've had alot this year.

Yes, there was very little snow just a sprinkling. I’ve heard about snow and cold in Canada. I don’t know how you guys survive.

@RubyHawk The man who plows called to tell us he’d be there in 10 minutes. Of course, we weren’t home. lol He left a huge pile at the end of the driveway. Nowhere else to put it.
