Brown County State Park security guard Brian Foy is being thanked by the relatives of an eight year old girl who was kidnapped by her dad in Nevada five months ago. Brian was on duty at Brown County State Park in Indiana on Friday evening when a black Cadillac parked across the south gate gatehouse with a license plate from Nevada, a headlight that was not working, a small girl who did not make eye contact with him and the driver of the auto wearing sunglasses at night in cold weather. Brian could piece together that when the driver of the auto asked him to find him a campsite and get some gasoline for him to get there, that something was not right. Brian then called conservation officers and Brown County Sheriff's deputies to assist him in dealing with the present situation. When the deputies and officers found out that the man driving the Cadillac who is Daniel Eggers who was a wanted man for taking his daughter without permission of her mom in Nevada, had a warrant for his arrest since September 2020. Daniel was arrested by the Brown County deputies that same evening on charges of concealment of a child. The young girl is spending time with her family in Indiana. She is in good condition and unharmed. Her mother who lives in Nevada will reunite with her daughter soon most likely traveling to Nevada to Indiana to pick up her child. If more security guards were like Brian, we would be living in a better world today.
