I have been up there for hours since Sunday. I read one of her stories on Sunday. There were too much doing on Monday to read to her. However, our friend that she calls her sister, played a bit of an audio book to her. Today I went up and between all the medical stuff I read her some out of the book I'm reading.
As I was leaving, I rubbed her shoulder and said: "Remember, "L" needs you." "L" is her great niece.
She sort of flicked her eyes open for a moment.
I then said: ""J" needs you too." "J" is her nephew, the father of the great niece.
I didn't get a reaction out of that. But I said "I need to know if you are all right, can you at least nod your head for me." No eye blink, but she did move her head every so slightly.
I went out and told the nurse about it before I left.
I think this is some good news. She's still heavily drugged, but this was something.

Is she still intubated? That might make it difficult to nod her head.
