Does this structure bring anything to mind?

While we were in Bunbury recently, we climbed to the top of this structure to look out over the mangrove swamps. I don’t know what the structure is meant to represent but the view from the top is quite impressive. From the top, you can see across the Leschenault estuary to the city itself. The population is around 75,000 and it is third in population after Perth and Mandurah. It is home to the only silicon producer in Australia. Mining, mineral processing and agriculture are the main industries and it is a popular holiday destination for West Australians. When we lived in Donnybrook, this was our closest city.

Cool. I like that. The bones have been picked clean. I love rack of lamb or lamb chops in any form.

@JudyEv Yes. There is a stair so you can walk on top of it?

Did you and Vince eat a dinosaur and just leave his bones standing like that? It does look impressive.

@JudyEv It's more like the bottom of a dinosaur eggshell.

@DaddyEvil Certainly it's more egg-shaped.

It's quite unusual really. I keep thinking of the 'bones' of a ship but it's not quite the right shape.

It looks sort of like a bongo drum. At least in its shape.

@JudyEv Was it supposed to mimic anything in particular? Or represent an object or shape?

@moffittjc I've researched as much as possible but can't find anything that suggests what it might be supposed to represent. Fleur didn't find anything either.

@just4him There is really not reason why it should represent anything I guess.

I didn't find anything to tell me what the designer had in mind, if anything.

Oh so this is where you got the view in your other photo I saw I’m guessing. I have no clue what the shape is supposed to be either but it made for a nice photo.

I suppose this is a lookout tower and, may be, it represent nothing, just a modern design, that I find pleasant.

Well, it is certainly egg-shaped but someone suggested a rack of lamb and it does look like that too, with all the rib bones sticking up.

@JudyEv Yes it looks like skeletal ribs now that I am examining it a little closer.

To me it looks like the branches of some hardy tree or something. It would be cool to climb up there. Really the only silicone producer..that is interesting Judy.

@JudyEv Reminds me somewhat of a poppy seed capsule. Could also be an egg I guess, although with the top sliced off. I did wonder if it might be a mangrove seed, but it isn't that similar.

@Fleura So those are mangrove seeds? Maybe Bunbury's mangroves, being a different species, have a slightly different seed.
