Good afternoon from this side of the planet.
. It's 12:40 PM here as I write this post. I have got the phone for some time and I would use this to make a post and do some bit of mylotting.
The WiFi in the home is acting up. Glad that I had only one morning session at work and I finished it before the problem with WiFi began. I have called the service provider and some technician would be coming soon to have a look. It's a good service provider and I hope that the issue is fixed soon.
Meanwhile my younger daughter has been using my mobile for mobile data to connect to her teacher for some doubt clarification. And that has eaten up a lot of phone battery and it would need some recharging soon.
I will try to be here again after lunch. Hopefully the issue is fixed by then or else I will use my phone. It would be filly charged.
I have busy evening for coming three days. I have registered for this workshop on self advocacy and it is for three consecutive evenings from 5_7 PM. Since my profession involves working with special needs children and their families, I don't want to miss any opportunities to learn, explore and empower myself.
This is for the first time that I am attending workshop on that topic and I am excited. Looking forward to learning something new. Well, this is the poster of today's speakers who are special need adults who are self advocates. It would be exciting and interesting to listen to them. The second day has few empowered parents as speakers and they would share their journey as self advocates for their children or training their children to be one for themselves. The third day has few professionals as the speakers and I know most of them. They are my professional inspirations and I am fortunate enough to work with few of them and they still mentor me. I got the invitation from one of those to this workshop. And glad that I got it yesterday and could enroll before they closed for registration
.
So, looking forward to these speakers and their powerful talk.
Now, let me move to notifications.
See you later

I hope you enjoy the workshop and learn a lot to help you with your own work.
When I saw you posted a new discussion, I stepped outside for a moment and took a photo I could share with you. Our temp right now is -9C and we are in a snowstorm. The snow is deep enough now that the bottom step to my porch is almost hidden.
Photo is mine.

I am looking forward to these speakers..it would be inspiring that these special needs could stand up for themselves and be self advocates.
That's really cold there and that's a lot of snow. I guess you would plan to stay indoors and stay warm. A lot of snow shoveling work would be there if you have to take your car out.

@arunima25 Yes, I agree. I've been to seminars run by people like this and found it very rewarding. I'm sure you will, too.
I had an appointment to see an allergist 65 km from our house tomorrow morning. We cancelled it this evening after the snow was 5 cm deep. I know how to drive on snow but we had freezing rain and sleet all night last night so there is 1 cm of ice under the snow. I'm worried I'd have an accident so cancelled.

@DaddyEvil It's good that you cancelled the appointment. It would be really a risk to drive in such condition and not a risk worth taking. I hope you get another appointment soon. Is your allergies acting up?

@DianneN Certain things are better here and customer service and prompt home services and delivery are one of them. Well, we have lots of players in these services and that's what benefits the customer. Any dissatisfied customer can take the business elsewhere. So, they are on their toes to keep their customers satisfied.
It was a wonderful one. So many inspirational stories and moments of goosebumps and tears. The stories of each journey was inspirational. And I did learn a lot.

Sounds like a special and enriching workshop.
We are again having good cold weather after some sunny and slightly warmer days.
After braving chill for more than a month, longing for the Spring is growing.
Kids here too are preparing for their final exams.
They get so less time to enjoy things with so much to study and exams.

It was indeed a wonderful webinar session. Many inspirational stories from the panelists, many goosebumps and tears too. Very moving. Glad that I made it at the last moment
Well, schools are opening up everywhere. My daughters have no classes anymore. But they are going to physical school for their pre board exams from tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
Our school might open from next week. Now few parents have given the consent.
