Abuse of Wealth

I had a wealthy patient last night. She was so entitled she kept all the nurses at least 30-45 minutes in her room just to chat with her and do her bidding. I do admire wealthy people who are still humble despite their wealth. This woman on the other hand treated us as if she owns us.

I know I think she forgot she's in a hospital and thought she's with her maids.

That must have been frustrating. People, wealthy or not, need to realize they are not the center of the universe.

Yeah that's exactly how I want to put it. Specially in healthcare you just can't monopolise the care workers some people need it more. We had a critically ill patient but she's keeping us in her room when she was quite stable and able.

How did she get away with that? Surely all the patients have the same demands on your time!

Well she's a private patient so she thinks she's worth more our time I suppose.

It's a public hospital but well she's a private patient. But it doesn't mean she can monopolise the nurses. General patients also needs the nurses.

@JimBo452020 Yeah but I'm not for sale hahaha. I do understand it's just disgusting when people dehumanise other people because they think they're better.

@flapiz Oh but some people can be bought. Trust me. And those with money in these troubled times can buy what and sometimes who they want.
