I CANNOT be a HERO today

I woke up so early at around 7:30 AM today. Then, I decided to work on my text-based online tutorial site. There is a big BUT with this matter. I think the site's platform is having a glitch. I cannot answer any questions posted by students online. It seems that time is going to be wasted waiting for it to work. For this reason, I cannot be a hero for them today. Most of the virtual teachers called themselves heroes there. So I called myself the way they do. It is also like here. We call ourselves myLotters. Right after posting this, I am going out to do my morning walk. Speaking of heroes, who is your superhero in real life? Do you do morning walks with a face mask on? Image Credit: cdn4.vectorstock.com

Pretty won't go walking with me when it's below 0C outside and I won't go walking by myself. Yes, I wear a face mask when I go outside. I hope you have a good day.

I went out again because I forgot to buy some bread and candles for my parents. I really miss them especially my mother. If I am there and it is winter, I would prefer to hibernate. I cannot blame Pretty if she does not want to.

@Shavkat Oh, I see... I've heard of people here buying/lighting candles for their deceased relatives but it's not something my family does. (Yes, I'm quite sure you do miss her. My mom passed in 2002 but I still miss her.) Pretty went out in the 0C cold to shovel the snow off our driveway because she insisted we go shopping. I would have stayed home if she hadn't forced me to get dressed and take her. (We were only out of milk and bread. We could have done without the shopping. )

@Shavkat You're right, Hispanics also light candles for their deceased relatives. *sigh* Yes, I took her shopping. We spent about $200 USD at the grocery store. She's just stocking up on more stuff we don't need right now. I don't know why she keeps doing that.

I do not wear a mask to walk outside, I always wear a mask inside. Super hero are the common people who fight every day to bring money home to feed their families.

I think they are really superheroes. Why need to wear a face mask inside?

If I walk outdoors in the mornings, it is in my own yard so no facemask. Not sure who my superhero would be!

I also do not use a face mask if being within the house. Perhaps your biological parents can be your superheroes in life. That's what I felt for them.

I always wear a mask when I go out. I even wear a face shield. What ESL company is this? Been applying to ESL companies but no luck so far. I need a part-time work immediately.

All the heroes and legends I knew as a child have fallen to idols of clay... Heroes are everywhere. That single mom raising children, the bus driver that stops to help someone in need, the person that buys another a meal, the people that donate clothes and food for the needy... Heroes don't wear capes. They are all of us. I do not wear a mask outside. I wear a mask only where it's mandatory.

@TheSojourner You are a hero too. Look what you do for others. You have a full plate yourself but always find the time and energy to help others. I got to sneak in a STYX reference too lol.

I do solve questions in Chegg whenever I get time. Particularly computer science questions.

Can I ask something? Does Chegg pay you when working there? I am just curious.

I do agree on that. Dreaming to be someone is for free. No one has the right to stop us.

@Shavkat Where we walk, it would be unusual to see more than one or two people so it's not like you're in a crowd.
