@marguicha Surprisingly, my mother liked him too. At least, I thought it was surprising. She was pretty conservative.

I can't possibly begin to think of a favorite. I loved everything he sang. I was 7 when he was on television. Can't remember what show, and mom being a big fan, we watched him sing and was only allowed to see him from the chest as back then, they couldn't show his gyrating while he danced on TV. It was considered not appropriate for people to see on there.

In 1962 when I met my first husband, all the girls we knew tried to take him from me because he looked like Elvis and danced like him people said

@LindaOHio I know I liked some of Elvis’s songs better but I can’t remember. There were so many good rock and rollers that I liked from that eara. I enjoyed them all. I think Rod Stewart singing Maggie was best.

Not my favorite give him mad props in how he changed some things. Cannot be a hater on that. Hard to see one person make that much change in a whole industry these days. I have much respect there.
