Small rants

I am trying to go to work. I wanted to pay two bills first.
Company #1 has updated their web page. I had to put in lots of info to get to my actual bill page.
Company #2 Says I have no bill and no history. One broadband has just taken over the one I had more than five years. I know I have a bill, it has been a month since I paid. So I clicked to pay and chose "other" amount. I paid it, then clicked on "my bill" and got a detailed analysis of what I paid. Taxes and all. It is weird.
Another rant is when someone answers a discussion and gives an answer that feels like a put down. One person in particular does that to me. All--the--time. I will claim the interaction, though. It is someone in the US, but maybe they are culturally different and do not know how condescending they sound. I could be hateful back. I could block that person. Too lazy to do those things. Instead I use it as part of my post.
I sometimes see this in other people's discussions as well, and I want to defend the original poster, but I do not. Not worth starting a row.
Time to leave for work and an appointment. Maybe see you later.

I'm glad you said that person was in the states. I was afraid you meant me.

I just received a bill on my financials that I had forgotten all about.
Rude people are so awful. Sometimes it is just the way it is written but when it isn't it is bad news. I just try hard not to sound rude or negative on here. Hope I don't come off that way.

No, you don't. It may not be deliberate on this other person's part. You often come across as very well informed and aware.

I hate when sites do that..lay surprises on you.
Glad you got it done though it sounds annoying.
Really even more annoying is that smarmy kind of response, sorry it is happening to you. No need for that.

The websites are a problem especially if I am in a hurry.

Computers can really confuse things, but I like it when they work.

Yes, it is very frustrating and seems to take twice as long.

Some people seem adept at using subtle 'put-downs'. I've seen it here too but mostly let it go or I try to be extra nice to the original poster to make up for the not-so-nice person.

I have done that as well, and also have looked for additional posts to comment on.

I am sorry you had some trouble with paying your bills. I hate when they change their websites and make it more difficult.
I notice there are some whose responses are seemingly a put-down. I don't understand why they feel they need to be that way.
Hope you have a good day at work and with your appointment.

It may not even be deliberate, but it can sting a bit. Has a feeling of "I'm better than you."
