An elusive capture - with my camera

I took this photo today on our way home from my brother-in-law’s place. I’ve been wanting to get a photo of it for ages but there is nowhere to stop on the highway so I had to take it through the window as we drove past.
Today, I actually remembered to keep my camera on my lap and at the ready. Under the circumstances, the photo turned out quite well although I had to crop it a lot. I thought it was very well done (the sculpture that is). I’m not sure what birds they are meant to be and I couldn’t find any information on them.
We have friends coming for lunch today. They used to have five acres of garden near us in Donnybrook but have now downsized to a small block in a northern Perth suburb.

They look very much like the herons that we see along the waterways and lake shores. Good job catching that image. Drive-by photos are hard!

That is a great photo shot and well captured!
They looked more like real birds.
May be the sculptor is trying to show the early flight birds who are thought to be the living descendants of Dinosaurs!!

You did well with it, all things considered. Capturing an image while moving, isn't always easy.

There are quite a few similar things around. It's really nice to come across them and I now look out for them on our trips.

How cool. When I first saw it, I thought they were real birds.

I'm not aware of much water in the area but there easily could be.
