What is going on with these prices?

Hey, was just thinking about this and was wondering what it is like by you. The gas prices have been sliding up the scale since moron took office, can I say it is 100% his fault no I guess I can’t but sure is odd that since he took office and closed pipelines, and God knows what else the cost of gas is going through the roof. Anyway, thanks Joe. What are prices looking like where you are? Earlier this week we were about $3.19 a gallon then on Thursday it shot up to $3.34 a gallon and today we are back down to $3.21 a gallon. Crazy how we shoot up 15 cents in one day but then in two days we only drop 13 cents. It’s a real bummer when it cost you about $32 to fill up your tank and then have to do it twice a week. I know I’m sure there some of you out there with big SUV or truck that have even bigger tanks in the vehicle and cost more to fill up but either way it sucks that this is going on when it could have been prevented. I read somewhere and I’m not sure who true it is, and I really hope for all of us that it is not true, but they are saying we could see the national average hit $4.50 a gallon sometime this summer.

This is an administration that doesn’t give a rat’s tuchas about how bad inflation gets. Sorry to be political, but I am nonpartisan about it: I’ve often said the only thing Gerald Ford did for inflation was come up with a cutesy slogan that did NOTHING to help….and cost him the election in 1976.

@DWDavis — I meant to say “nonpartisan.” Thanks for pointing that out. I corrected it. Yes, it’s wrong to blame the president for all of the things happening, but in the end he IS blamed (or credited).

Ford was a Republican. See my response above as to some of the real reasons gas and other prices are going up. Almost two years of pent-up consumerism along with several other geopolitical considerations. To blame any President for gas prices is the height of naivete.

Gas is $3.54/ gallon here in Gainesville, and climbing steadily by the day. It sucks. We will be over $4 soon.

Ouch, ours dropped back down but now inching up yet again. I think we are average in this area about 3.24 a gallon now. Depends on which station you go to.

Everything goes up when gas prices do. Thank the Dems for that fiasco. Cutting off the gas pipelines on day 1 with an executive order started the inflation ball rolling. Gas is needed to transport food and other items and the additional costs need to be passed on to someone, that being the consumer. Add the shot mandates into the mix and you have less truckers to move the products slowing an already stretched supply chain. When it comes to Biden and his party "common sense isn't so common."
