In Massacusetts, a resident by the name of Thea Everest bought herself a pretty bird. A macaw who she named Kaiba. She brought Kaiba with her to visit her father in Battleboro, Vermont. Thea got out of her car with Kaiba and another bird flew up close and scared Kaiba who flew away from his owner. He flew up a tree some 60 feet off the ground. Everest first took to Facebook for some suggestions on how to get Kaiba down but finally reached out to the power company to get him down. The power company said it was highly unusual, that they had never received a call for rescuing a bird from a tree. But that's what they did. They climbed in their bucket and it barely reached Kaiba beccause he was so high. Kaiba and Thea are now reunited.

She had said she had kept his wings clipped and had just learned how to fly. He must have been terrified.

@NanaMc oh I see. I just couldn't figure how the bird couldn't fly down, but now I see.

@bunnybon7 He probably could have if he was an experienced flyer. But it was kind of like putting a child in the drivers seat of a car.

I'm so glad she got her bird back. I'd be so scared of losing my bird if I had one.

Yeah, that would definitely be the downfall of owning a bird. With any pet, but most pets don't fly, lol
