In my reading around the internet this morning I found an article about dehydration. I am always interested in this subject. I have known of people personally who nearly died because they didn't properly hydrate themselves. No water in your body can be deadly.
I know that water is very important. It helps each of our organs work correctly. But, I wasn't aware that 60% of our bodies, as adults, are made up of water. That's a lot. But, water also helps you eliminate waste. I knew that but, did not know that water also helps to protect your joints and tissues. And, it helps our body keep a normal body temperature. Very important stuff boys and girls.
How much water do you drink? I drink about 8-10 ounces when I first get up. This helps my elimination. Then I drink another 8-10 in a couple of hours and do that for the rest of day. I probably average between 38-48 ounces each day. Men should drink about 16 cups per day or 128 ounces. Women should drink about 12 cups or 96 ounces per day. So I need to drink more. The rest of my drinking is usually juice or pop. The juice has some water in it. Hmm. 96 ounces is hard to reach per day.

Very good stuff, people should hydrate themselves better including me. Some on here heard this story before, but in Marines my Staff Sergeant would put a bottle of pee on his desk. Then go look devil dogs I am not properly hydrated yet, drink water.
I have another friend who refuses to drink any water. I am amazed he is still alive. He drinks Gatorade and stuff when he feels parched. I guess why he still alive.

@celticeagle Yeah I do not think they would allow that in Corporate America, probably not Marines either Sanitary reasons, but no one reported him. He was not a bad dude just weird, but was kind of gross.

Dehydration does scare me since I need to drink water or juice to keep me healthy enough to do my work on a computer.

Get in the habit of drinking some at certain intervals during the day. Like when you get up, before a meal, after exercise, etc. Getting in the habit will make it easier.

In honor of this post, I just had some water, followed by a 'drinking box' of apple juice. And now
I'm gonna have some tea.

I drink it every time I come back from going to the bathroom. Still need to drink more of it though. I do the flavored water thing too.

I never drink enough water and it sometimes shows up in decreased kidney function. I hate water.

There are different ways to drink water. You can find water in some fruits, and you can flavor it too. I wrote a couple posts on the subject.
