Stemless wine glasses? A good idea or not?

When we first moved into this lifestyle village, we were given a gift of six glasses and a cheeseboard by the developer. It was done up nicely in a box.
I think the glasses are meant to be stemless wine glasses but we’ll be using them as water glasses. Although the idea of stemless wine glasses seems good, I think white wine would get too warm from a person having to hold the glass in their hands.
Maybe they’d be okay for red wine but in the middle of summer, our ‘room temperature’ can be a bit above what is probably regarded as ideal for red wine. We often put red wine in the fridge for a short period before opening it.

I think that is a good idea, Less chance of knocking the glasses over,

I think they are OK. Sometimes those stems break.

We will use them for water, Scotch and soda, and similar drinks.

I would just use them for regular drinks like water.
