Defragmenting and Partitioning

I'm at a point where I needed to partition my Drive C. I'm using windows 10. I watched several videos on how to partition a hard disk drive. I managed to follow the instruction but the system says I need to defrag my drive c: first. and here I am defragmenting my C drive. Hope it will finish soon. What OS you guys using?
