I Exercised for 2.5 Hours Today

Yikes! I think I might have overdone it on the exercise today. I went to the fitness center at 10:30 am to take the second Tai Chi class. I took that class to help my balance so I don't fall and break anything. That class was 60 minutes. This will be my last one there. I just feel too much like a klutz to keep taking these classes when everyone else is a pro and has been doing it for 6 months to a year. Online Tai Chi it is for me. The class was an hour and after that, I went right into my workout that my trainer showed which lasted about 40 minutes. That was to build up my strength so I don't lose bone density. There were a few balance exercises in there too. From there I changed into my swimsuit and got an aerobic workout of 30 minutes of lap swimming in. Then this afternoon I knew my dog really had too much energy so I met my friend and she and I took our dogs for a 1-hour walk around the neighborhood. I think I got enough exercise in for a Friday. Did you do any exercise today?

@jstory07 That was probably the most exercise I have ever gotten in one day, LOL! When I told my trainer what I was doing at the gym, she said that was too much exercise for 1 day and I needed to pace myself. But later on the dog needed a good long walk. Oh well. I won't do as much tomorrow.

@Kouponkaren I walk at least a half hour in the mornings. Then different amounts each hour of the day after that. Right now I am mostly walking in the house. Was too cold outside and now is muddy

@wolfgirl569 Good for you. I have to drive somewhere to walk because we live on the top of a high hill and walking up the hill kills me! How long do you usually walk every day?

@wolfgirl569 Yes, I hear you on the mud. I have slipped and fallen in the mud before and I am leery about falling again. Especially since I have to be concerned about low bone density.

I walked the dog around the yard a couple of times today and fixing to take him out for his last outing. It was a cold and cloudy day and I wasn't motivated to do much of anything and that is about how the day went.

@Kouponkaren He has been quirky since the weather got down into the 20's here. He is also getting stubborn as he gets older. I am off to do the final walk now..ha. I get distracted so easily.

@Kouponkaren It is always a brisk walk, I go to the post office, collect our mail in our box and come back home. It is not even a "flat" walk, as the post office is in the center of our small town, steep road uphill to go there.

@LadyDuck Good for you. Is that a stroll or a brisk walk? I struggle to walk more than 30 minutes. I get too bored.

That's a lot for a day. I have an exercise routine of 45_60 minutes every day. Today I did some cardio and stretching for 45 minutes. And then I have a full active day doing chores and work. My work with special children also involves 30 minutes of movement. I can add that to the exercise list.

@Kouponkaren Yes, I do. I love to exercise and now it's a habit. I don't feel good if I don't exercise. Glad to know that you too have work experience with special needs children.. I love my job.

@arunima25 Sounds like you really get your exercise in. I used to be a substitute teacher with special needs and I loved it.

Way too much exercise. I did that years ago and ended up hurting my back and for months.

@vorios Thanks. I don't usually ever work out hard enough to injure myself. I don't really like to exercise.
