Who likes pineapple on their pizza?

I always thought that was such a strange concept, pineapple on pizza.
A young girl ive known all her life called me and I was at the grocery store.
"Oh, pick me up some canned pineapple. I'm having pizza for lunch."
I grabbed her a can and when I got to her house I told her I thought that had to be the grossest thing I had heard. So she got a piece of pizza, topped it with a bit of pineapple as asked me to take a bite.
I'll try anything once, so I took a bite and was shocked at how good it was.
I'm not in the habit of putting pineapple on my pizza but when I think abt it I do!

Just no.
I love both items, just not together. I gave it a fair try and to me, those two tastes do not belong together.

Honestly that is something I will never try. Pizza should not have Pineapple on it. That has to be a very American thing to do. I am not a fan. I love great traditional pizza from a great coal brick fired oven pizza place. And living here in Brooklyn N.Y, I know a few great places for pizza. No Pineapple for me.

When I used to eat pizza I always used to like ham and pineapple pizza and couldn't understand why people frowned down upon it because I used to love it.

I've never tried pineapple on a pizza but mainly because the pizza they sell with pineapple has pork in it, which I don't eat.
