Husband # 4..Blurry days, off the deep end.

I really don't know what to say about # 4. I lived with him off and on for 3 yrs. and we was married for 2 yrs. before I woke up and was saved. A lot is a blur because I started drinking
For that next 5 yrs. I was a drunk. Down the rabbit hole you might say.
I met Louis on the bus, on the way to Ohio where my mom insisted I go with my 2 kids to live and start over away from her and 3rd husband. She actually bought us tickets, gave me money for us to eat and drove us to the bus station. During one break stop, the kids were asleep that night, I got off to smoke and took up a conversation with a good looking young man that bought me a coffee. Picture, George Micheal. He was concerned about me and I can't remember all the details as I was still trying to hold things together in my life and drunk most of the time.
To shorten the story we ended up living in an apartment and working and drinking and fighting. He was around 30 yrs to my 40 yrs. and we seen things a lot different.
Anyway, we eventually ended up back in AZ working at the GM proving grounds. Where we fought over his insane jealousy in spite of him being younger and prettier then me.
He talked me into marriage by saying if we was married, we could go to church and stop drinking and save this relationship because he wouldn't be jealous any more. We married. Went to church a few times, then he started drinking again to "take the edge off" as he would say. Of course he started shoving me down and treating the kids badly, so I sent my son to live with his dad and my daughter went to her sisters in Ohio.
The last I saw Louis was when he got so drunk he was insisting on us going with these 2 guys he just met to their house at a pool party. Something told me we couldn't trust them. So I slipped out the back of the bar and left in the car and packed it up with some things and went to a friends.
End of that one.
photos are my youngest daughter (blonde one) with me and one with my oldest daughter and youngest.

I would like to live in peace. Relationships are too messy. I only have one and its driving me nuts. You are a strong woman.

@bunnybon7 - I only had one husband and he is still the one I married 50 years ago. I never regretted our decision not to have children.

@bunnybon7 I think you were smart enough, but didn't have a good support system in place until you met John.

oh he had women chasing him. It's just that he loved me I guess.
I was just to busy drinking and trying to survive to care or worry about it. I was worried how I'd ever be normal again.

That’s so awful you had to send your kids away to keep them safe. That had to be a very tough time in your life. Are your kids understanding about it or bitter? I think after my husband and my mother having an affair I would want to drink and avoid life too

@bunnybon7 oh so sad

one, the boy, is bitter about it sometimes. He likes to blame me for his substance abuse, even though I have helped him more then any of my other grown kids.

oh yes. He was really quite drunk. Luckily I knew I was going to have to drive so I was drinking coke for once. These guys were already laughing behind his back and the one was flirting with me. plus I wasn't sure what Louis would do if I went home with or made him some how go home. At that point I was scared of him too.

I know. It's even hard for me to believe and I lived it. It's all true. As they say, sometimes real life is stranger then fiction.

yes it had to have been my shortest marriage. Like I said, I was drunk most of the time. I guess my ex being with my mom just threw me over the edge a while. Louis and I just made each others problems worse.
