March 8 - What I'm Thankful for Today

One of these days I'm going to get my soapbox out and you guys are going to find out just exactly what is on my mind. Yes, I'm upset. We have another day to show off our racial hatred. Oh yeah, you heard me right. International Women's Day. Let's point out how inferior we women are. No thanks, I'm not inferior to anybody. Now, put that in your pipe and smoke it. So, it's been a few days since I posted about what I'm thankful for. Honestly, I just didn't want to be here. Every time I logged on, I got totally irritated and couldn't wait to get off. I'm seriously thinking about quitting myLot. This has nothing to do with you. I think you're all great. I mean that. I have many friends here. At least I think I do. I'm just not getting anything else done. I haven't opened a book in days. I won't get Where Eagles Soar fixed and published if I don't work on it and spend all my time here. That's on me. Then for the past few days, I've been watching movies and still not getting bookwork done. I still had trouble being on the computer in general. Again with the irritating feeling when I opened the computer. I couldn't wait to shut it down and get away from it. So, my wanting to quit has absolutely nothing to do with you and everything to do with me. So, what am I thankful for today? I'm thankful for getting to the hospital on time this morning, even if I was late. You need to arrive fifteen minutes early. I wasn't. Though I was there in time for the appointment itself. I didn't wait long and I was home before ten a.m. I'm thankful I worked out on the bike in the community room today. I'm determined to get 5 miles. I am, and every time I do, it gets easier. I'm getting those five miles in less than twenty-five minutes I'm thankful for my numbers today which you'll see tomorrow. I'm also thankful I didn't get as many calories today as I have the past several days. Things are headed in the right direction. Okay, that's my day. I spent more time here today than I have in the last few days. I'm way behind on notifications, but one thing against me is my shoulder. Every time I move it, it hurts and typing doesn't help. When I think it's better, it feels worse by the end of the day. Today has been fairly nice. Blue skies and temps into the forties. The snow we got yesterday is almost melted. I did get a few pictures of the snow. I'll add one here. That's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I understand how busy it can get when you log into mylot. Apart from posting, you read and comment on other members' posts _ then the notifications. I hope you don't quit - l would miss the daily Bible study. Today , like everyday l am thankful for my many blessings.

Don't you receive the Daily Bible Study in your e-mails? If not, I need your new address. It never comes back as an error. I've sent them to you since you gave me your address. Yes, you can easily spend a full day here without realizing it.

Thankful for the heat. A cold day here all day in the 40s. Got errands done earlier. I can understand your feelings about being irritated at the holiday today as well as being here. You are a friend and you have to make your own decision that is right for you.

Heat is good when it's cold. I think we hit 40 today. I'm glad you got your errands finished. Thank you for understanding.

Just take a deep breath and relax. I know things seem stressful, but they get better over time. You will be missed should you quit, but we'll welcome you, should you return. It's okay to put yourself first. Perhaps you just need to streach out the shoulder, it might help with the shoulder pain. And, yes, you do have friends.

Thank you for being my friend. It's not so much stressful, just near burnout. I am stretching it. Resting helps.

If you decide to leave myLot, you have my email address and my phone number. You're always welcome to use either one. I don't want to lose touch with you! (I respond faster to texts now than I do emails. Something is wrong with my Hotmail. I have to shut it down and open it back up before it will update. I think my laptop is getting too old for it to run correctly.) It's snowing here right now. *sigh* I didn't want more snow this year.

@just4him We just had three days of almost non-stop rain. I'm tired of it right now, too. (It's still 36F outside, so the snow isn't sticking... yet.) But we're supposed to reach 52F the next two days in a row, so the snow shouldn't be too much of a problem this time. I've got another laptop but haven't moved everything over to it yet. It's got a 12 inch screen and I'm not sure I'll like that as well as the 15 inch screen I'm using now. I may have to get used to it whether I want to or not. I've always sent more texts in a month than anything else. I've used them for years.

I'll take your snow and trade you rain. Though right now, we have clear skies. Good to know you do better on texts. Texts and I are getting used to one another, like me and my laptop. Though right now, I fired up the desktop for the first time in a few days.

@DaddyEvil I'm a slow texter unless the thing knows what word I want to use, then it goes a little faster. I like the bigger screen. My laptop is so small. I think 10" but I could be wrong. I know when I ordered it, I got the largest one I could afford. I would need to measure it to know. My desktop monitor is 27". I like that so much better. It doesn't make my eyes sore to work on it.

You are doing great with food and exercise. Sometimes we just need to take a long break from things. You might be needing that. Take some time off and then come back to us and your computer. I am thankful for a happy Monster today.

This is an expression that my brother uses all the time, but in French "put that in your pipe and smoke it."

Women are not inferior and they have never been, we should just stop fighting about some topics and enjoy chatting peacefully here in myLot.

I can understand your frustration about not getting things done when you're on the computer. Its so easy to get lost on the computer and time just disappears. Hope you don't quit myLot and if you decide to take a break you check in and let us know how you're doing. I'd certainly miss you if you left.

I know I am not inferior to anyone nor anyone to me so all these made-up days to celebrate this or that I ignore. That is why there is so much division between us because they make us feel like we are less than what we are. I will never buy into any of that garbage. I will miss you and your posts should you leave here. But I understand that you have other things you need to work on that need your time and attention. That is why I don't come on here on Sundays. It is the one day I am the least active on technology. If I am not here other days it is because I am busy with other things. Hopefully, you can pop in every couple of days and not leave us completely. We were in the mid-60s cloudy and finally rain at dusk. Going to be colder the rest of the week highs in the 40s' - 50s'. Shock to the system since we have been at 80 a few days now. March is a crazy month weather-wise. I am thankful I got the church cleaned and a few errands done before the rain began. Have a blessed evening.

That is exactly how I feel about all these made-up holidays. Thank you. I haven't fully decided yet. I'll know though when the time comes. I'm surprised I've been blogging as long as I have, first with Bubblews and now here. I understand about Sunday. I've been coming less on Sunday than before. Sunday was always a family day and should be a special time away from technology as much as possible. The highest we've gotten is in the 50s last week. Since it's been another rollercoaster ride from the teens to the 40s and back again. I'm glad you got the church cleaned and errands done before it rained.
