Is it the right time to construct or renovate a house? / myLot

With the sky rocketting fuel prices, I am sure that prices of commodities will rise. =( This makes me sad as we will start to renovate our house. I hope we will be able to finish it with meager budget, but I fear that there will be a big cut because of what is happening now. I hope the price of the materials will not skyrocket that high.

I think March is a good time to start renovations because it's not yet too hot. Are you going to renovate the entire house, or just sections of it?

Everything will become expensive once the rate of fuel increases. It's better to wait until the price of the fuel goes down.

Until there is this Russia/Ukraine war you will continue to see the prices go up, more and more.

I'd stop and wait until prices for fuel, at least, come down before doing any more work on a house. Unless the roof is unsound or some of the exterior walls have been removed so that rain can get inside. Good luck with your house renovations.
